Summary:

This special session aims to explore cutting-edge theories and technological advances in the planning and operation optimization of power grids driven by digital and intelligent technologies. In the context of energy transition, power grids face technical difficulties such as the variability of renewable energy generation, the complexity of multi-energy system coordination, and the dynamic nature of load demands, which necessitate the development of novel planning methodologies, intelligent operation and control strategies, and market-based trading mechanisms. In that regard, this session focuses on key scientific issues in the planning and operation optimization of power grids under the framework of digital and intelligent technologies, including the integration of advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and IoT technologies in relevant fields. Scholars are invited to submit and exchange their latest research findings on relevant theoretical methods, key technologies, and engineering applications, with the goal of advancing the state of the art in digital and intelligent power grid planning and operation.
